There is a daily express boat service between Bergen and Nordfjord, stopping in Askvoll and that corresponds with the ferry crossings to the islands. The journey to Bergen takes around 2 hours and 40 minutes, and around 40 minutes to Florø. You can take the express bus service to Førde from most large towns in Norway. You can fly to Førde Airport Bringeland or you can drive here in your own car.

Local travel

Two ferry crossings link the islands to the mainland: Askvoll – Gjervik (Atløy) and Askvoll – Fure – Værlandet. The mainland has a road connection following the banks of the Førdefjord to Førde then crossing the bridge over the Dalsfjord to Dale.
