2.4 km, green marking
From the ferry quay, drive towards Bulandet. You may park near the youth centre (ungdomshuset). This walk takes about half an hour, and got its name because of the way in which it is marked. Look for poles with white tops and you’ll know you’re on the right path. The white trail takes you through a plantation of densely planted spruce, pine bush and larch, covering the marshlands on the north side of Værlandet. These woods are in a sheltered and quiet area, and can be enjoyed even on very windy days. Footbridges enable you to walk through the marshy areas without getting your feet wet. The most northerly part of the trail brings you to an area of open landscape giving a wonderful view to the north. From Håhågen you can see the whole collection of islands that make up Bulandet and Værlandet. On a clear day you may be able to see the oil rig ”Gjøa“ to the west.
