Solsidevegen green marking.
Starting from Demma (the dam just above Stongfjord) near county road fv 609, this trail heads in a northerly direction. Initially, parts of the landscape are quite wet and fertile, two good reasons for the abundance of deciduous trees growing in the area, including birch, ash and many others. At Blomberg, we continue along a forest road heading west through disused grazing pasture, which now offers a good place to rest and take in the scenery looking down over the fjord and village below. The trail continues through another mosaic of greenery and eventually returns to the main road. The trail runs along the foot of a recent rockslide, so be careful!
You’ll find a parking spot near the start of the trail, approx. 1 km from Stongfjord towards Førde. The walk takes about an hour.
